Trigger Points

Do you also suffer from pain in the broader neck and shoulder blade area?
When you palpate the area, do you find harder spots that, if pressed, become more intense?

These are the so-called trigger points.

These are pain trigger points, as their name suggests. They are a part of any muscle that is in permanent contraction and is often referred to as a “knot”.

Their appearance can be attributed to poor posture, repetitive or sudden muscle movements, muscle injuries, as well as anxiety and stress. The affected area exhibits discomfort at rest, pain upon touch, and in some cases, restricted mobility.

Relevant studies have shown that massage in these areas has beneficial properties, offering tremendous relief. The process certainly requires an experienced therapist who will work on the problematic area to improve blood flow, apply pressure to the necessary points, and assist in muscle stretching when required.

After the session, you might feel some discomfort in the area for one or two days, but you might also immediately feel the relief and well-being that massage offers. Like everything, this also varies from person to person.

Exercise, nutrition, proper posture, and incorporating massage into our lives contribute significantly to the better functioning of our body.

Give your body the care it needs.
